International Resources

As countries around the world gear up to promote whole grains more aggressively, all of us will benefit by sharing information about effective strategies.
International Workshop at
"Just Ask for Whole Grains" Conference
The Whole Grains Council hosted an International Workshop as part of the "Just Ask for Whole Grains" Conference held November 5-7, 2007 in Kansas City, MO. This workshop provided an informal opportunity for conference delegates from the US and other countries to exchange ideas about effective ways to increase whole grain consumption.

Join WIN – the WholeGrains International Network
At the International Workshop above, participants from the U.S., Denmark, Germany, Canada, Australia and Japan agreed to create an informal network to exchange updates with each other. We call this network WIN – the WholeGrains International Network, and we've established an online meeting place for WIN at www.wholegrain.ning.com.
WIN's goals include
- sharing advice on effective whole grain promotions
- harmonizing international definitions of whole grain
- building momentum for increased consumption of healthy whole grains
Anyone who shares these goals is welcome to join us. The more active, thoughtful people join in, the more effective we can be, as this is solely a peer-to-peer participatory forum. There is no fee for joining WIN.
if you would like to be included in the WholeGrains International Network, email Cynthia Harriman or Morten Strunge Meyer with your contact information and details about your whole grain campaign, plans or interest. We'll send you an e-invitation that will allow you to join the WIN community.
Whole Grain News
Morten Strunge Meyer also maintains a news feed of Whole Grain News. If you would like to subscribe, click here then scroll down to the bottom of the page to enter your email. This is a great source of news, even if it's in Danish once in a great while.
